It was a delight to see so many of you at the first tunk and the faculty meeting last week. I hope both provided you a chance to catch up with familiar colleagues and meet some new ones.
We hope that your classes are going smoothly. We write to bring to your attention —especially if you are new to ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ — to two institutional resources that might be of interest as you plan your teaching and/or research for this academic year.
The Office of Off-Campus Study invites faculty to submit all proposals to direct an Extended Study Group for either the fall semester (with a January 2026 extended study) or the spring semester (with a May 2026 extended study).
The Office of the Dean of the College and the Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty encourage you to continue conversations with students outside the classroom. We have set aside funding to support several opportunities for student-faculty interaction during the semester.
¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ continues to support faculty involvement in conference participation and/or attendance. Eligible faculty (described below) are given an allotment of up to $2,250 per year to attend or present at professional meetings.
