Approximately 3,250 family members flocked to ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ to spend time with their students on campus, Oct. 22–24, 2021. Outdoor events and a check-in process provided fun and safe options for gathering.

Haven, ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ’s sexual violence resource center, celebrated its fifth anniversary on Thursday, Oct. 28, in a ceremony honoring those who were instrumental to its creation in 2016.

Joseph Hernon, a military veteran, and firefighter with 10 years of emergency management experience will lead ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ’s emergency management operations after a nationwide search to fill the vacant role of associate vice president for campus safety, emergency management, and environmental health and safety. 

Ahmet Çeli̇k, PhD candidate and instructor in religion and Middle Eastern studies at Syracuse University, has been appointed as the first campus imam and Muslim student adviser at ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ.

The Max A. Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education (COVE) celebrated National Volunteer Week this year with a series of awards for its most dedicated and successful student volunteers.

The Harry C. Behler ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Debate Society hosted its annual British Parliamentary debate tournament, the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Open, March 19–21, 2021.
