Members of the Class of 2028 took their first walk up the hill as ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ students yesterday.

More than 20,000 prospective students have applied for admission to ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ for a third consecutive year.

¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ has received more than 21,000 applications from students hoping to join the Class of 2027.

¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ has announced a four-year extension of its test-optional pilot program. Through the 2026–27 application season, students seeking admission to the University will not be required to submit SAT or ACT scores.

¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ has received an all-time record number of applications for admission.

The upward trend follows on the heels of last year’s 6.4% increase in ED applications and historic 104% increase in total applications.

A total of 17,540 students, from 50 states and 146 countries, applied for admission to the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Class of 2025, and 913 enrolled in the class, which has an average GPA of 3.77 out of 4.0, up from 3.69 in 2020.

In its first year, ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ’s no-loan initiative awarded more than $1.5 million to students.

Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, provided a rare opportunity to celebrate in a challenging year. On that evening, 324 early decision applicants became the inaugural members of the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Class of 2025.

Submission of SAT and ACT scores will be optional for ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ applicants applying in 2021, 2022, and 2023, thanks to a new three-year pilot program.
