ԱƵ has announced a four-year extension of its test-optional pilot program. Through the 2026–27 application season, students seeking admission to the University will not be required to submit SAT or ACT scores.
Extending ԱƵ’s three-year test-optional pilot gives students continued flexibility to choose how their individual strengths are best represented in their applications. The program continues to support access for all students, including those affected by testing site limitations as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s important that our applicants are empowered and supported throughout the application process,” said Dean of Admission Tara Bubble. “Giving students ownership over what they submit means they have the best opportunity to show their individuality and unique potential.“
Test scores are just one among a number of factors in applicant review. Applicants who choose not to submit test scores will not be at a disadvantage, as ԱƵ’s thoughtful, holistic review considers overall academic achievement, personal character, interests that show curiosity and commitment, excitement for the spirit of intellectual pursuits, and more.
