Completed applications should be submitted electronically to Career Services at internship@colgate.edu. Once your application is reviewed, Career Services will send documentation to your employer verifying your enrollment.

Upon enrollment, you will be forwarded a packet outlining all assignments and deadlines. You will be required to write a final report, conduct two informational interviews and write synopses of each, and ensure that your internship sponsor submits a written evaluation of your work.

You may withdraw from the ICP at any time prior to the first day of the internship. Once the internship has begun, very rare exceptions will be made to allow you to withdraw from the program without receiving a failing grade. Please vet internship opportunities thoroughly prior to accepting verbally or in writing. Internship sponsors invest a good deal of time and resources in identifying interns. Once you have committed to an internship, your internship sponsor's expectation is that you are interested, willing, and able to engage in the opportunity.

You may earn .05 credits for each approved internship completed. A maximum of four unique internship credits can be earned for a total amount of .20 credits. This credit will be documented on your 冈本视频 transcript.

Internships are graded on a pass/fail basis. A failing grade will factor into your GPA. Passing grades will not affect your GPA. You will be graded on the quality and timely submission of your work, as well as whether 120 hours of work was completed and verified by the internship sponsor.

No additional fees or tuition are required for you to earn this credit.

Students Already Enrolled in the Program

In most cases, internship credit will be recorded on your transcript for the term in which the internship was completed (spring, summer, or fall). For students on medical leave, academic dismissal, or disciplinary suspension with conditions for readmission, the internship will be recorded for the term after you are readmitted.
