Terri Stewart has been named director of campus safety at �Ա���Ƶ.

Trustee emeritus Robert Fox ’59, GP’23,’25 has given $10 million to build Fox Hall at �Ա���Ƶ, the first residence hall of the University’s fifth Residential Commons. The gift was acknowledged by the Board of Trustees during its fall meeting, Sept. 30–Oct. 1.

Renee Madison, director of human resources for the City of Indianapolis and Marion County, Ind., has been named vice president for equity and inclusion at �Ա���Ƶ.

�Ա���Ƶ has announced fall semester plans that reduce COVID-related restrictions while keeping a close eye on infection data and the rapid spread of the delta variant.

�Ա���Ƶ is closing the books on a record-setting 2020–21 fundraising year, thanks to the generosity of �Ա���Ƶ alumni and other supporters.

Joseph Hernon, a military veteran, and firefighter with 10 years of emergency management experience will lead �Ա���Ƶ’s emergency management operations after a nationwide search to fill the vacant role of associate vice president for campus safety, emergency management, and environmental health and safety. 

Members of the �Ա���Ƶ classes of 2022–25 will now benefit from an additional expansion of the University’s no-loan initiative under the �Ա���Ƶ Commitment.

On June 1, �Ա���Ƶ announced the �Ա���Ƶ Commitment: An Initiative in Access and Affordability.

�Ա���Ƶ’s admission team has put the University’s Plan for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into bold action, with impressive results.

Two members of the �Ա���Ƶ Class of 2021, Jake Gómez and William “Paul” McAvoy, will share this year’s 1819 Award, which recognizes character, scholarship, and service to others, best exemplifying the �Ա���Ƶ spirit.
