¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ

During the summer, ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ students are applying their liberal arts know-how in a variety of real-world settings, and they are keeping our community posted on their progress. Neuroscience major Tali Filstein ’21, from Avon, Conn., describes her summer research.

By 2022, it is projected that New York State will have a shortage of 10,000 teachers. To help address the deficit, two ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ professors have been tasked with building and enhancing the high school physics teacher education program.

Each summer, ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ students and alumni gather for an evening of celebration and connection, swapping stories while enjoying hors d’oeuvres. Called ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ in Your City, this series of events takes place in cities like Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the District of Columbia.

Linked to the course Environmental Problems and Environmental Activism in the People’s Republic of China, this extended study let students examine issues of environmental justice.

On June 1, 2019, ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ at 200 played in the Ho Tung Visualization Lab in commemoration of the Bicentennial.
