Wilderness Adventure Food and Diet Information

WA provides tasty, hearty, healthy meals during your trip. Exact menus will vary by trip type, but a sample is provided below. Accommodations are available for dietary restrictions, but please talk to us early.

Sample Menu

Meal Examples
Breakfast Oatmeal, hashbrowns, grits, bagels
Lunch Bagels or pitas, peanut butter and jelly, cheese and pepperoni, hummus, GORP, granola bars, etc.
Dinner Mac & cheese, beans & rice, stir fry, pasta with red sauce or pesto
Dessert Brownies, pineapple upside down cake, no-bake cheesecake, candy bars

* We pack a selection fresh fruit and veggies on each trip. In general, you can expect more veggies at the start of the trip and fewer towards the end. Examples include apples, oranges, lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes at lunch, and onions, peppers, and broccoli during dinner.

Note: Every trip will have a unique menu based on weight, bulk, dietary and caloric needs, and durability/perishability. This menu is only provided as a sample of representative meal types.

Dietary Restrictions

Please be detailed and specific about any dietary restrictions, preferences, or allergies on your registration and medical forms. Generally, we can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free diets, but only when we have the best information about your needs.

We will call you in early July if we have any questions about how to meet your dietary needs and if we need you to provide any specific food items that we cannot provide.

We cannot accommodate significant last-minute dietary requests so please communicate with us ahead of time. If you have questions or concerns, definitely give us a call (315-228-6499) or email.
