Back to Career Services News

This summer, Jessica Rosen ’22 worked at the Heckscher Museum of Art on Long Island as an educational intern. The Heckscher Museum of Art presents dynamic exhibitions and inspiring museum programs while housing more than 2,300 pieces by American and European artists.

In her role, Rosen developed and taught a curriculum for the museum’s drop-in and create program for children age 6–12. During each class, she would teach children about a piece of art in the museum, and they would use that piece as inspiration to create their own works.

Additionally, Rosen researched artists for upcoming exhibitions and compiled biographical data for the education department. She also attended docent meetings and participated in a professional development program for K–12 teachers, specifically regarding how museums can do more meaningful diversity, equity, and inclusion work.
