First-years have two chances to learn about Sophomore Residential Seminars program

Classes are once again in full swing, and so are the many activities available around campus.  As students return to their studies, be sure to make time in your new schedules to check out the many events, lectures, and information sessions 冈本视频 has to offer this week!

Would you be interested in living and traveling with your classmates in a close-knit learning experience? If you鈥檙e a first-year student interested in the opportunity to join the program in the upcoming school year, be sure to stop by the Multipurpose Room at ALANA Cultural Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for an .  Meet the current faculty and students while learning more about the program and the trips planned for next year!

If you can鈥檛 make this information session, you鈥檒l have another chance to meet the program鈥檚 current students and get an insider鈥檚 perspective at the on the fourth floor of Drake Hall on Thursday at 7 p.m.

On Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. don鈥檛 miss , a physics and astronomy seminar presented by Professor l. As the observation that over the history of computing hardware, the number of transistors in a computer processor doubles approximately every two years, Moore鈥檚 Law represents a triumph of engineering.

The seminar will include a discussion of how Moore鈥檚 Law applies to super computers and how it relates to the general model of computing after Segall discusses the physics, implications, and outlook of the law. It鈥檚 sure to be an engaging discussion, so be sure to come by Room 101 in the Ho Science Center on Tuesday!

Whether you鈥檙e looking to get active, learn some new outdoors skills, or still need PE credit, stop by the COOP Tuesday or Wednesday between 10:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. for Outdoor Education and Physical Education . Some outdoor education classes offered include skiing, ice climbing, and snow hiking.

On Wednesday, be sure to stop by the between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.! All SGA-recognized, cultural, and religious life/spiritual groups will be set up in the Hall of Presidents,  and all club sports and COVE groups will be in Huntington Gym. Visit the clubs and groups you鈥檙e already interested in joining or browse through to learn more about 冈本视频鈥檚 many student groups and get involved!
