?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = 'urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags' />HAMILTON, N.Y.Cathy Foto, the head coach of the 冈本视频 University field hockey team, has announced the incoming class of 2008 which includes the signing of four student athletes from the state of New York, three from the Central New York area. Heather Davis (Greene, N.Y.), Molly Kimball (Blossvale, N.Y.), Natali Plesniarski (Hamilton, N.Y.) and Lauren Remkus (Miller Place, N.Y.) will join the Raiders in the fall.

鈥淲e are thrilled to have four outstanding student athletes joining our squad in the fall,鈥 Foto said. 鈥楾he fact that three of the players come from Section III is very exciting. You add to that a player from one of the top programs on Long Island and you have an exciting future ahead for the 冈本视频 field hockey program. Heather, Molly, Natali and Lauren are four outstanding young women. They have been involved in their school communities, been leaders in their respective programs and will add a great deal to the 冈本视频 program over the next four years.鈥
鈥楬eather and Natali have played together on the Central New York Empire State Games team and have traveled to represent the region at the USFHA National Festival,鈥 Foto added. 鈥楲auren competed against both Heather and Natali last summer so there already some connections between these future classmates.鈥
Plesniarski was a four-year member of the field hockey team at Sherburne-Earlville and is a three-time first team all-star. She has also participated in the Empire State Games for the last two years earning two gold medals and has attended the USFHA National Tournament and the USFHA National Futures Tournament.
Davis was a member of the 2002 New York State Class B State Champions and was named first team all-state in 2002 and 2003 and second team in 2000. Davis has also played in the Empire State Games for three years and won a bronze medal in 2001 and gold medals in 2002 and 2003. She has also been a part of the National Futures program for since 2000 and has attended USFHA Festivals since 2000 as well.
In 2002, Davis competed at the Junior Olympics in Knoxville, Tenn. She was also a four-year member of the softball and basketball teams at Greene High School.
Kimball was an all-state, all-section, all-Mohawk Valley and a Tri-Valley League all-star at Camden Central School. The Blue Devils were the Section III Champions and Kimball was the team鈥檚 2002 and 2003 Defensive MVP.
Remkus was honored with all-conference, all-division and all-suffolk county honors at Miller Place High School. She served as team captain on the team that was the 2003 Suffolk County Class B Champions and was also honored as the school鈥檚 exceptional senior.
In addition, Remkus played in the 2003 Empire State Games as a member of the Long Island Team that won a silver medal. She was also a two-year participant in the USFHA futures program and played at the 2003 National Hockey Festival with the Long Island High Tides and was named a 2003 Academic All-American.
