Tickets for the Dalai Lama’s lecture at ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ will be made available starting Thursday (March 20).
As part of the university’s Global Leaders Lecture Series, sponsored by ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ’s Parents’ and Grandparents’ Fund, the Dalai Lama will give a talk at Sanford Fieldhouse from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 22.
Thanks to the generosity of ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ’s parents and grandparents, all tickets will now be complimentary.
Tickets for the campus community (faculty, staff, and students)
March 20-April 4: Members of the campus community can reserve preferred-seating tickets by logging on to the university portal. Faculty and staff may secure up to two tickets, and students are allowed to reserve one ticket.
Tickets will be mailed April 5, or arrangements can be made to pick them up at the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Bookstore.
After April 4, all remaining tickets will become general admission and will be distributed through the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Bookstore. (There is no guarantee that general admission tickets will remain available, so you are urged to reserve your preferred seating between March 20 and April 4.)
Tickets for the general public
April 5-17: The public can reserve any remaining general admission tickets (limit two per order) by going to or calling 877-362-7666 while supplies last.
April 14 is the cut-off date to mail tickets. Any tickets reserved after that date must be picked up from the bookstore by April 17.
For group reservations or special needs, please reserve your tickets online and follow the instructions. There is a 20 ticket limit for group reservations. The office of special events for advancement will contact you shortly after you make your reservations.
Special instructions
Ticket holders must arrive early. Doors to Sanford Fieldhouse will open at noon and close at 2:30 p.m.
Because of the Dalai Lama’s international stature, extra security measures will be implemented. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. All participants will be subject to security checks including metal detectors and possible searches.
Backpacks, large handbags, and food/drink are not permitted and will not be allowed inside the venue. The use of cameras, cell phones, other electronic devices, and recording equipment of any kind is strictly prohibited.
