Hamilton, NY — ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Student Theater will present the Tony Award-winning serio-comedy Art by Yasmina Reza February 21 ‘ 23 in the Black Box theater in the Ryan Art Studio building. Showings will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, and Friday, February 22, and at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23. Winner of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play, Art explores the questions, How much would you pay for a white painting’ Would it matter who the painter was’ Would it be art’ What are the rules that dictate art and friendship’ Lines are drawn and three friends relentlessly square off over the canvas, arguing less about the theoretical and more about petty personal ‘stuff.’ Directed by Sean Goldman ’03, the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ cast includes Jim Sherwin ’05, Jeremy DeAngelo ’05, and Lawrence Berkowitz ’03. The play is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
