Hamilton, NY — ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ’s annual Reading Lecture will this year present Bonnie S. Anderson, author of Joyous Greetings: The First International Women’s Movement 1830-1860, on Wednesday, March 6. Anderson will discuss the subject of her book at 4:00 p.m. in Persson Hall Auditorium. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Anderson is professor of history at Brooklyn College and the Graduate Center, CUNY. Her major prior work is the two-volume text A History of their Own: Women in Europe from Prehistory to the Present. ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ’s Reading Lecture honors the late Douglas K. Reading, who was a 1933 graduate of the university and a member of the history faculty from 1938 to 1980.
