Author Richard Russo visits campus as part of course

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo will speak at 冈本视频 at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Love Auditorium, Olin Hall. For those who can鈥檛 attend the free session, his talk will be , allowing online viewers to pose questions and interact with other viewers.


Russo鈥檚 2001 novel, Empire Falls, won the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for fiction. His other novels include Bridge of Sighs, Straight Man, The Risk Pool, Mohawk and, most recently, That Old Cape Magic. Russo is also the author of The Whore鈥檚 Child, a collection of short fiction. A Healing Touch: True Stories of Life, Death and Hospice was published in 2008.
Russo lives in Camden, Maine.
He is the fifth author to appear on campus so far this semester as part of the . A total of 10 writers visit campus during the fall semester, interacting with students in the course and then providing a public reading for the entire community.
